This Tranfer to Choose page is designed to assist you if you have decided to manage the transfer of your website to Choose-Hosting & Choose-a-Domain yourself. It should direct you to all the information you will require to manage both the tranfer of the hosting of your website and the transfer of any associated databases, to Choose-Hosting, as well as the transfer of any domain names associated with your website to Choose-a-Domain.

All that you need to do in order to tranfer your existing website to Choose-Hosting & Choose-a-Domain is follow the below steps. Follow the links for more detailed instructions.

• Transfer your domain name to Choose-a-Domain or alternatively update the DNS at your existing domain name registration company to point the domain at our nameservers.
• Download all of the files that form your existing website using an FTP program like FileZilla (available locally here*).
• Backup any external database associated with your website.
• Purchase your prefered Choose-Hosting package if you have not already.
• Log into the Choose-Hosting control panel and set-up an FTP account.
• Use an FTP program (and newly set-up FTP account settings) to upload the files which form your website to your new webspace.
• Use the Choose-Hosting control panel to set-up any required MySQL databases. Install database backup using phpMyAdmin.
• Configure any scripts and update any references to database locations.
